Commencement of Development

On 4th November 2024 , Bloor's appointed groundwork contractors Shannonside will commence with the initial phase of works; to include securing all site boundaries to ensure there is no public access, erection of the site compound, welfare facilities and contractors parking area, and initial top soil strip and site clearance including selective hedgerow clearance agreed with Tewkesbury Borough Council . Following on from these works, delivery of the main site infrastructure will commence with the construction of the internal access roads, plot foundations and the construction of the new community sports pavilion.

Bloor Homes and Shannonside are committed to ensuring that the impact of construction activity to local residents is minimised as far as possible. In consideration of this, a Construction Traffic and Environmental Management Plan (CTEMP) has been submitted and approved by the Council. As set out by Council, construction working, and delivery hours will be restricted to the following hours:

Monday - Friday: 0800 - 1800
Saturday: 0800 - 1300
No working is to be carried out on Sundays or Public Holidays.

As the construction access to the site will be via Bluebell Road, it has been agreed with the Council that 20mph speed limit signs will be installed at various locations along the road for the duration of the construction period.
